Or are you? If you're like me, I got finished my 30 day cleanse and was glad to see that it was over, but also had to admit that I liked the lighter and healthier me. I got on a Wellness program that had me pretty much following the same diet except I only had to do two cleanse days a month instead of four. It was great...until Christmas. Then, I started cheating more and worrying about the diet less. It didn't take long before some of the weight started coming back on. It didn't help that I shut the dojo down for the holidays too so my exercise regimen went totally out of whack. I quickly got back to routine as soon as I got back to work. I'm happy to say that I'm back to what I was when I was done my 30 day cleanse.
So, now it's up to you. Where are you going from here? Are you staying on a program or are you going back to your old habits that got you to need a cleanse in the first place? I'll admit that I'm on the Wellness program, but I've learned a lot about what my body really needs in the way of food and what it doesn't. I also think I've started to figure out a way that I can "have my cake and eat it too". I truly believe that we are allowed to have everything in moderation. There is nothing wrong with a glass a wine, the occasional beer, the odd coffee, or the day off from your workout routine. The problems start when we go overboard.
Remember when I wrote about our society loving pleasure and hating pain? I strongly suggest you remember that concept when dieting, working out, or doing anything else that you think you "have to do" in order to have a better life. Do you really "have to do" it? Or, can you change that thought to you "want to do it"?
Hmmm, a 30 day challenge is over. Now, you have a challenge for the rest of your life!
