Darcie Campsall Sensei began her journey as a martial artist at the Okami Kai dojo in October 2000. She was honoured to receive her Shodan (first degree black belt) ranking in December of 2007 and her Nidan (second degree black belt) ranking in December of 2010.
Both she and her husband Scott Campsall Renshi brought their son, Jacob, into the world to join her daughters in 2003.
She worked with Campsall Renshi and another student to launch the Lil Dragons Program which began in September 2004 and was a primary instructor for Lil' Dragons as well as an assistant instructor for both the Youth and Adult karate programs. Darcie Campsall Sensei has helped out with Okami Kai's Demonstration Team and has been a part of many demonstrations for various fundraising and community events.
Under the instruction of 8th Degree black belt Kyoshi Kevin Blok, Darcie Campsall Sensei has completed the On Guard Control and Defensive Tactics Course, the On Guard Extendable Baton Course, and has also received ranking in Yoshinkan Aikido.
She has provided many volunteer hours in two of Uxbridge's local public schools by helping children learn to read, supervising class trips, school office administration, fundraising events and also helped with her daughter’s graduation ceremonies. She works full time as an Office Manager in a landscaping/snow plowing business in Uxbridge along with being a full time mother and wife. Darcie Campsall Sensei enjoys just being a part of her children’s lives and being able to train with her husband and son.
She currently spends a lot of her time helping manage the administration for the dojo and has also been known to cover the occasional class when an instructor is unavailable. All this while still attempting to keep up her current level of training and still go beyond in order to increase her already vast knowledge of martial arts. |
